When mainstream school isn’t working
If you’re reading this, your child is probably bright, capable, and struggling — and the system that’s meant to support them isn’t. Maybe they have a diagnosis. Maybe they don’t, but something clearly isn’t right. Maybe they’ve stopped going in altogether.
Heaven Learning Academy is an online British school built for children who learn differently. We follow the full UK curriculum from Key Stage 1 through A Level, but we deliver it in a way that respects how your child actually works — small live classes, qualified UK teachers, and a pace set by the learner rather than the room.
Who this is for
Who this is forWe work well with families whose children are:
- On the SEND register or awaiting assessment
- Diagnosed with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or processing differences
- Experiencing school avoidance, anxiety, or burnout
- Recovering from bullying or a difficult school transition
- Gifted in some areas and struggling in others
- Between schools, between countries, or out of provision entirely
You don’t need a diagnosis or an EHCP to enrol. You do need a child who deserves to be seen as an individual, not a problem to be managed.
How online learning helps
For many children with additional needs, the classroom itself is the barrier — not the work. Sensory load, social pressure, transitions between rooms, the friction of being the one who needs something different. Online learning removes most of that. What’s left is the teaching, the relationship with the teacher, and the work itself.
Our classes are small by design, which means teachers actually know your child — their pace, their patterns, what helps and what doesn’t. Lessons are live, not recorded modules left for your child to navigate alone, and they’re recorded afterwards so nothing is lost on a difficult day.
What personalised learning actually looks like here
“Personalised” gets used loosely. Here’s what we mean by it:
- A settling-in conversation with you and your child before they start
- Pacing adjusted to your child, not the year group
- Check-ins with teachers who flag concerns early rather than at parents’ evening
- Coursework and assessment routes (gcse, igcse, a level) chosen around your child’s strengths, not imposed on them
- Regular contact with you, because parents of send children are part of the team, not an audience
We are not a special school and we don’t claim to replace specialist therapeutic provision where that’s what your child needs. What we offer is mainstream-standard British education delivered with the patience, structure, and flexibility that mainstream classrooms can rarely provide.
Alternative provision
For local authorities, schools, and parents commissioning alternative provision, we offer flexible part-time and full-time placements with attendance reporting, safeguarding processes, and progress tracking suitable for EHCP review.
Small classes, qualified teachers, real accountability
Every teacher at Heaven Learning Academy is qualified and DBS-checked. Class sizes are kept small enough that no child can disappear into the back of the room — because online, that’s even easier to do than in person, and we’ve built around that risk rather than ignoring it.
Book a free discovery call
The honest answer to “is this right for my child?” usually takes a conversation, not a website. Book a call with our admissions team and tell us what’s been happening. If we’re a good fit, we’ll say so. If we’re not, we’ll tell you that too and, where we can, point you toward someone who is.
